A visit to the historic center of Tempio Pausania is a chance to appreciate the beauty of its granite houses, which tell the story of this Gallura town's glorious past. The most interesting part of the center begins at Piazza Italia. From here you go along Via Roma and we arrive at the cathedral of St. Peter which stands in the square of the same name. A visit to the church is a must, given its beauty, evident even from the exterior. Dating back to the 19th century, it was built on the ruins of a 15th-century factory.

Also not to be missed is the Bernardo de Muro Museum, which houses the stage costumes as well as numerous personal objects and documents of the great tenor from Tempio who died in the middle of the last century.

Even the visit to the Railway Station Museum It is full of interest, with all the tools and machinery on display and still in perfect working order. Very beautiful. Carmine Theater, one of the most fascinating in Sardinia, with excellent acoustics that favor the appreciation of the shows included in the rich seasonal calendar.

Nuraghe Majori

Compact and majestic, it dominates within a dense forest, on a hill covered with cork trees that alternate with holm oaks, ash trees, and downy oaks with a dense undergrowth of strawberry trees, heather, butcher's broom, and phillyrea.

Mount Limbara

Framed by the greenery of the surrounding area, from its peaks of Balestrieri Point e Flag A unique landscape unfolds before you. It's ideal for hiking and biking, and from its summit you can admire much of Gallura, all the way to the sea. Easily accessible by car, numerous well-marked trails for simple strolls or more challenging treks begin along the road leading to the summit.

Sources of Rinaggiu and Fonte Nuova

Very easy to reach even from the historic city centre, the Sources of Rinaggiu e New Source Their waters are particularly prized for their excellent diuretic properties and purity. They are located in a cool grove, perfect for enjoying moments of serenity, with a quiet and healthy walk, a pleasant summer picnic, or simply relaxing in a peaceful, lush setting.

A tree-lined, paved avenue leads to the large granite portal, which leads into the garden and the fountains themselves. Rinaggiu is a meeting place and social gathering place for the Tempio community, and a popular tourist destination for those visiting the Gallura hinterland.
