Gallura – the beating heart of Sardinia

Gallura, the beating heart of Sardinia

by Giacomo Sanna - New Graphics Editions
The value of photography
images and thoughts

The publication wanted by Giacomo Sanna, a profound connoisseur of the land of Sardinia, is to spread the charm of that territory which represents the 40% of island tourism, with its stretch of sea which from Budoni it stretches along the Coral Coast and then the Costa Smeralda, and, following, the Costa Paradiso, to finish at Badesi, in a kaleidoscope of colors and transparencies that enchant tourists and travelers.

Photography is an art form born in the first half of the 19th century that completely revolutionized the course of art history. The invention of the camera changed the way we perceive the world.

Photographs take us back to the past, they make us relive those moments, they suggest all the heartbeats felt in that moment, they make us smell the scents and make us relive the colors and emotions perceived on those occasions, destined to remain fixed, in the heart and mind, forever.

Gallura – The beating heart of Sardinia It alternates splendid images with thoughts and aphorisms, to experience a journey, page after page, and to escape the city towards these dream places!

The author

Giacomo Sanna was born in Aggius in 1942 and dedicated his life to teaching. His love for his homeland led him to create a project to promote Sardinian culture and traditions, and thus "Primavera in Gallura – Stazzi e Cussogghji" was born, of which he is the founder and president. With this association, he brings a series of performances to the towns of Gallura that draw on local customs and traditions, most notably "Lu Coiu," the ancient traditional Gallura wedding.
