An immersive experience in a fantastic world

The Apilvia farm was established in January 2023, on the initiative of Silvia Sanna.
The young company breeds honeybees and subsequently collects and sells hive products directly, operating primarily in the municipality of Berchidda, in Northern Sardinia.
Beehive products, particularly honey and pollen, come from wild flowers in Sardinia.

The main honeys produced by Apilvia:

Almuttu - Asphodel honey
- Light in color, delicate aroma with floral overtones. Fragrant but not lingering, a sweet, harmonious wine with notes reminiscent of beeswax.

Alchimissa - Wild Lavender Honey
- Among the most prized honeys in northern Sardinia, this delicate honey has a floral flavor and an intense aroma characterized by fruity notes.

Bàrdu - thistle honey
- A strong, decisive, and pleasant flavor, with aromatic and slightly bitter aftertaste. An intense and persistent aroma reminiscent of daisies and chrysanthemums.

Olidòne - Strawberry Tree Honey
- A rare honey, produced in very limited quantities, making it a prized honey. Characterized by a markedly bitter, intense, and pungent flavor, with vegetal, coffee, or woody notes.

Beranu - Spring Wildflower Honey
- A complex yet delicate aroma with floral and fruity notes. A balanced, sweet, and harmonious honey, with good persistence and a nuance that can range from sweet to slightly bitter, representing the blossoms of the Sardinian spring.

Istìu | Mediterranean scrub honey
- A complex and intense aroma, with aromatic and fruity notes. A balanced, bold honey, persistent on the palate, with nuances ranging from floral to vegetal, evoking the blooms of the Mediterranean scrub.

Other Apilvia productions

- multifloral pollen, among nature's most nutritious foods, contains proteins, amino acids, vitamins and minerals: A wonderful natural supplement;

- abbattu, a honey and pollen decoction. One of the oldest gastronomic products of Sardinia's rural culture. Aroma: intense and complex, with notes of caramel and dried fruit. Sweet with a bitter aftertaste, rich, persistent, with aromatic nuances.

During 2026, Silvia attended and completed the qualifying professional course to become an educational farm operator.

Sa Domo de S'Abe - Educational, experiential, and multisensory tourism

Silvia manages 50 hives located in 3 apiaries in the Berchidda countryside.
The farm has decided to expand its product portfolio, aiming to become a multifunctional enterprise and create an educational farm dedicated to educational, experiential, and multisensory tourism. It will offer activities to promote the local area, focusing on nature and primarily on beekeeping, bee tourism, and bee therapy.

The project of “Sa Domo de S'Abe”, involves the creation of an educational reality that offers experiential sensorial activities and wellness solutions connected to the world of bees, through the use of a dedicated structure better known as the Holistic Apiary.

Apilvia domo

Educational activities will be offered through the holistic apiary "Sa Domo de S'Abe," a wooden structure with hives connected externally via screened windows. Inside, visitors can enjoy the aroma of the hives, filled with perfumes, resins, and essential oils (api-aroma), and the sounds of the bee nests (api-sound), while ensuring they don't come into direct contact with the hives, thus reducing the fear of potential stings.
Inside a holistic apiary, you can enjoy numerous multisensory experiences thanks to bees: listening, breathing, observing and understanding the world of the hive, relaxing, or practicing yoga, reiki, or other holistic practices. In fact, a holistic apiary is a solution that allows you to benefit from the many resources bees offer for your well-being, engaging all your senses.

Apilvia aims to become a hub for environmental education in the area, offering workshops, guided tours, and themed itineraries that actively engage participants.
The company's commitment is to integrate its business operations into a place in harmony with nature, where people can enjoy the benefits of the world of bees through immersive sensory activities and holistic practices. The goal is to create an experiential space where people can experience moments of authentic connection with bees to cultivate the well-being of body and mind.

In Su Monte de S'Aldia, in the Berchidda countryside

The location chosen for the holistic apiary is a small plot of land measuring approximately 2 hectares in the Berchidda countryside, called “Su Monte de S'Aldia”.
