San Teodoro is a top destination in northeastern Sardinia.

When it comes to holidays in Sardinia, San Teodoro is one of the most beloved and sought-after destinations on the entire island. Located on the northeastern coast of Sardinia, between Olbia and the Gulf of Orosei, this town is famous for its heavenly beaches, crystal-clear sea, vibrant nightlife, and a region that offers authentic experiences year-round.

San Teodoro: holidays all year round
Thanks to its strategic location and proximity to Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, San Teodoro has become a hub for seaside tourism and for those seeking an active holiday combining sea, nature, sports, and local traditions.

la Cinta San Teodoro

Itinerary along the north-eastern coast of Sardinia

Spread over an area that covers much of the southeastern coast of Gallura, San Teodoro stands on the lagoon of the same name, always populated by pink flamingos.

The city center, the hub of local life, transforms into a nightlife circus on summer evenings, with trendy clubs, pubs, ice cream parlors, music bars, and nightclubs. The ever-present market stalls, along with a wide variety of shops open late into the night, offer a fun and captivating shopping experience.

A large 5 km long arch of fine white sand forms Cinta beach, the most popular beach, not only because it's easily accessible on foot from the town center, but also for its clear waters.

Other beaches can be reached by heading towards Olbia; in the Lu Fraili area, follow Punta Aldìa, and you'll soon reach a delightful little peninsula facing the bay of San Teodoro.

Punta Aldìa (or Puntaldìa) is equipped with a small port that hosts 380 berths, as well as a 9-hole golf course, attracting a select elite tourism.

And now let's go and discover the beaches and the famous turtle and rooster rocks of Gallura

Further north, past Punta Aldìa, is the well-known beach of Lu Impostu, with nearby Cala Brandinchi, the latter more easily reached from the junction for Coda Cavallo.

Continuing further you come across Cala Suaraccia and the beaches of Salina Bamba and Salinedda.

Returning to the provincial road to Olbia, past Lu Fraili, you reach Monte Pitrosu; here, you turn towards one of the most interesting stretches of coast in the area, Punta Molara, home to the Mediterranean Maquis Garden.

Walking along a path, after just one kilometer to the south, you first reach Cala Ginepro, then Cala Ghjlgolu.

Here stand striking and unique rocks, shaped over the years by the sea and wind, which have given shape to the famous turtle and the Gallura rooster.
