Following the mandatory CIN (Individual Inspection and Identity Card) requirement, new safety regulations will come into force next November. These regulations will affect all those managing properties for short-term rentals, including those for tourism purposes. Let's take a look at these regulations below.
Mandatory use of fire extinguishers and detectors
Legislative Decree No. 145/2023 introduces the obligation to install fire extinguishers and gas and carbon monoxide detectors in all properties rented for periods of less than 30 days. This obligation applies to both owners who manage rentals as businesses and those who do so on a non-business basis.
