Formesenzatempo – Art Workshop

Nuraghe Majori

There are glimpses, lights, voices, houses, things that are worth a trip... Timeless Forms It's one of those. These are the realities that are so hard to describe. You can never quite capture their grandeur. Because it's a grandeur of sensitivity, of gestures and passion, of objects that go beyond pure, simple beauty, but can speak of life, of dreams, of beyond...
Formesenzatempo is a place of visions that transcend boundaries, uniting materials and transforming them into unique creations. This is the realm of Claudia and Gian Mario, a life together, a life dedicated to the love of life, of the simple things that touch the heart, that begin with the exchange of people, ideas, and visions, culminating in the simple concreteness of an object that embodies everything.

The grain, the tiny differences in tone, the imperceptible variations to the touch, the slight imperfections are the precious value of man's work, of the heartbeats that reach the object held in our hands, the craftsman's "fingerprints", precious testimonies of absolute uniqueness.

Formesenzatempo is wood, glass, clay and... the human soul

Sardinian juniper, wild olive, oak, sessile oak, holm oak sometimes fused together and crafted with clay or glass. Gian Mario Inzaina and his wife Claudia Deiana live every day in a state of suspension, where dream and reality find their common, shared, ideal, almost perfect space.
The materials that come into contact with their hands are brought to life, becoming partners in an idea, lending themselves and abandoning themselves to every kind of project, for a final result that exalts the beauty of diversity brought together. An example that nature teaches humanity.

Formesenzatempo is the culture of matter

Every artistic form undoubtedly arises from creativity, inspiration, and vocation. But that's not enough. At the same level, a profound technical knowledge is required, a culture of the material, in the knowledge that matter is life.
Gian Mario and Claudia refer to studies and stories that Sardinia is rich in. For example, Henry Moore, the great prophet of sculpture, who breathed the island in its harshness and sinuosity.
And from Moore, who sensed the unconscious strength of matter, Gian Mario and Claudia take direct inspiration to create sinuous and fantastic forms, with fascinating colors, for some surreal traits of a nature that makes, from its splendid imperfection, a total and never taken for granted perfection.

Gian Mario Inzaina and Claudia Deiana: an "artistically natural" encounter“

A perfect artistic union, two diversities that come together in life and art and create Formesenzatempo. Gian Mario focuses on his continuous and constant search for the secrets of glass, of its origin and primary nature, of its myriad transformations and interpretations. Gian Mario's unique, handcrafted pieces express often abstract fantasies and combinations, capable of conveying concepts that are more emotional than figurative.
Decorative plates, artistic centerpieces, lamps, sconces, and objects crafted using the glass-fusion technique, combining different materials—including copper, brass, steel, or foil—that fuse within the glass itself, creating contrasting, overlapping colors and imperfect, sinuous shapes that, contrasting with the perfection of the glass, make them distinctive, unique, and inimitable.

And then the wood. Reclaimed wood, that which has run its course in nature and is reborn in its beauty, enhanced in lamps and furnishings, but also in simple works where the right, proper intervention, even minimal, reintroduces it into the home, lending a touch of originality and naturalness to the space. Gian Mario has always worked with this material, ever since craftsmanship and art accompanied his professional career. And with wood he furnishes entire spaces, from kitchens to bedrooms, from living rooms to every corner and space in the home, making it more beautiful, warmer, more welcoming. More unique.

Gian Mario's artisanal work primarily uses Murano glass, which, due to its quality and characteristics, is the most suitable for artistic work, the most precious, and the most appreciated in the world for its wonderful colors and intense shine.

Claudia is instead at the'clay, and its natural properties, dedicating her time and passion to uncovering its ever-greater secrets. Claudia shapes and works this material with the grace and respect for something she deeply loves. Perhaps this is why she chose the ancient Colombino technique, entirely manual and more "respectful," rather than the more mechanical, less "delicate" use of the potter's wheel. In her vases, lamps, and sculptures, you find lightness, respect, and complicity.
The symbol of Telti, Valentina, is her creation. She is also the prize winner of an annual event held in the beautiful Gallura town, the "Hill on the Sea," a region undergoing rapid evolution and sustainable tourism expansion. Claudia and Gian Mario are also involved in this initiative.
