MEOC · Oliva Carta Cannas Ethnographic Museum

It tells the story of life, work and traditions of Gallura

In the heart of Aggius, the MEOC – Oliva Carta Cannas Ethnographic Museum recounts the life, work, and traditions of Gallura through a rich journey through popular culture.

Ancient looms, Aggese carpets, costumes, tools, and artisan workshops reconstruct crafts and practices handed down for generations, from cork and granite processing to bread and cheese making.

Particularly evocative is the section dedicated to weaving, one of the most characteristic expressions of Aggius' identity.

The museum thus preserves a living memory of the area, allowing visitors to delve into the daily life of Gallura as it once was and understand its culture, knowledge, and traditions.
