Trattoria La Gallurese

Trattoria La Gallurese: an icon of local dining

Adjacent Faber Square, in one of the characteristic alleys of the city centre, The Gallurese It's a long-established establishment that has maintained its traditional village feel. Since it opened in 1976, the Bianchi family has passed its management down through generations, always striving to serve authentic dishes, cooked according to time-honored recipes.

The menu offers a Gallura cuisine from the hinterland, so you can choose between different meat dishes cooked with carefully selected ingredients and raw materials and prepared as in the past, using the most traditional techniques. Among the most requested dishes is the Gallura soup, called supa cuata, the sheep, the snails, there tripe with mint, the mazzafrissa and many other dishes that speak of tradition and ancient flavors.

The dining room is on a mezzanine level, simple and unpretentious. Below are the entrance, reception, and kitchen. During the warmer months, from July to October, it's lovely to sit at the outdoor tables and enjoy the specialties al fresco. The service is consistent with the restaurant's philosophy: informal, friendly, and discreet.

The wines are predominantly regional, allowing you to choose from the wide variety of Sardinian grape varieties.
