Sometimes a lookout isn't a dot on the map.<\/p>\n

Luddu\u00ec is a small village in the hills of Budoni, one of those places where the landscape changes completely as soon as you climb a little higher. The sea remains in front, but all around you appear pastures, Mediterranean scrub, scattered houses, and the other small villages of the area.<\/p>\n

From up here, Budoni is no longer just the coast.<\/p>\n

Becomes a large landscape that unites sea and countryside<\/strong>, with the gaze that on clear days runs northwards to the silhouettes of Tavolara and Molara.<\/p>\n

You don't necessarily have to look for a panoramic terrace or a sign that says \u201cyou have arrived\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The experience is just that of cross Luddu\u00ec and climb towards the highest part of the village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Luddu\u00ec among the most beautiful panoramic points of the area, a small village to cross to reach the summit, just under 300 meters above sea level<\/strong>, from where you can observe a large stretch of the north-eastern coast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is the peculiarity of Luddu\u00ec.<\/p>\n

Looking toward the coast, blue dominates. Lowering your gaze slightly, rural Sardinia reappears: pastures, vegetation, houses, small settlements and traces of the Gallura agricultural landscape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It's a different Sardinia than the one depicted in beach photographs, yet the sea is still there.<\/p>\n

Luddu\u00ec also tells an older story.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the twentieth century, a few families lived there, all linked together, whose life revolved around the pens<\/strong>, the traditional agricultural and pastoral units of Gallura. They were both homes and workplaces: around them were sheepfolds, stables, vegetable gardens, vineyards, and fields.<\/p>\n

Over time, some of these family units expanded, and the ancient farmhouses contributed to the formation of the small villages that still characterize this part of the territory today.<\/p>\n

And then the panorama takes on a different meaning.<\/p>\n
